Cultural Insight
Becky: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Nico: In Finland, it's very extreme to say you hate something. Try to avoid the verb vihata meaning "to hate," and use the expression en pidä, "I don't like" instead. If you’re with friends, then it's ok to say, for example, that you "hate the rain," which would be vihaan sadetta. Your friends will understand!

Becky: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
