Hi everyone! Iโ€™m Alisha.
Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
Weโ€™ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that youโ€™ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, youโ€™ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What's your favorite number?" After watching this video, youโ€™ll be able to say many numbers and ask someone their favorite number.
Now, letโ€™s take a look at some conversational phrases!
Listen to the dialogue.
Mikรค on lempinumerosi?
Se on seitsemรคn.
Once more with the English translation.
Mikรค on lempinumerosi?
โ€œWhat's your favorite number?โ€
Se on seitsemรคn.
โ€œIt's seven.โ€
First of all you'll need to learn how to say โ€œWhat's your favorite number?โ€
That's: Mikรค on lempinumerosi?
Listen to it again: Mikรค on lempinumerosi?, Mikรค on lempinumerosi?
โ€œWhat's your favorite number?โ€
Now, how do you answer this question?
The pattern is:
Se on [number].
โ€œIt's [number].โ€
For example:
โ€œIt's seven.โ€
Se on seitsemรคn., Se on seitsemรคn.
