Becky: Pine trees typically grow up to 30 meters tall. These evergreen trees grow in relatively dry, sandy soil and are important in the Finnish pulp and timber industries.

Becky: The white trunks of birch trees are one of the traditional images of Finland. Add a lake and a fair-haired young woman in a national costume, and you have the prototype of an old Finnish movie, postcard or book cover.

Becky: The wood anemone is a small white flower often associated with Mother’s day in Finland. It blooms in May, usually around the second Sunday of the month when Finns celebrate Mothers' Day.
