Moi Päivi 😄

Ah, okay 😁

Toivottavasti voit! 😄 Vaikka täällä ei ole kovin mielenkiintoista (Minä olen sitä mieltä 😜 )

Hei Corinna!

Yes that’s right, there is no “neidät”. 😄
You can use ‘ne’, or ‘niitä’, for example. ‘Niitä’ is the partitive form.

Pitäisin varmasti siitä kirkosta! Jos joskus pääsen matkalle Kanadaan, ehkä pääsen näkemään sen! 😉
(I’m sure I would love that church! If I ever get the chance to travel to Canada, perhaps I can see it!)

Hei, Päivi 😄

Ah, okay. So “ne” doesn’t have a form similar to “heidät”? Haha, some English speakers do that too 😆 I meow back and forth with my cat for minutes at a time 😜

Ajatellen, pidäisit (Is that right?) sen! Se on kovin kaunis 😄 Some people get their wedding pictures taken there.

Moi Corinna!

“I’d like to see them” >> ‘Haluaisin nähdä ne’ 😉
‘He’ is the plural of ‘hän’ (”he/she”), and therefore ‘heidät’ is the plural of ‘hänet’ (”him/her). ‘Hän’ and ‘he’ is only used when talking of people, although many animal lovers (like me!) use this also in a humorous or admiring sense when talking about animals. 😆 : ‘Hän lauloi kauniisti.’ - “She sang beautifully.” (when in reality a dog was howling heart-achingly, for example!)

‘Se’ is “it”, and ‘ne’ is the plural of it, meaning “them”/”they”. ‘Se’ and ‘ne’ are used of un-living objects (and animals) that we can’t see at the moment of speaking.

Haluaisin nähdä sen pienen puukirkon, mistä mainitsit, Corinna!
I’d love to see the little wooden church you mentioned, Corinna!

You should also see the medieval churches we have then, Corinna! 😄
There are a few, approximately within 100km radius from Helsinki. Beautiful stone churches!

Joo! Fingers crossed! 😄 Rakastan erityisesti vanhia kirkkoja (I hope that’s right!) So I would really love the Helsinki cathedral, I think!
