Aino: dissata
John: It doesn’t have a literal meaning. But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to criticize, to ridicule, to diss."

John: Use this slang expression when you want to say something is being criticized, ridiculed, or dissed. The origin is the English words "to disrespect" and "to diss."

John: It doesn’t have a literal meaning. But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to tell someone off, to be rude to someone, to put someone in their place."

John: Use this slang expression when you want to express someone was put in their place, someone was told off, or someone was being rude to someone else. The verb comes from the noun

John: It doesn’t have a literal meaning. But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to quiet someone down with an apt remark."

John: Use this slang expression when you want to express how someone was quickly and promptly quieted by an apt and/or quirky remark. It is also used between rappers in rap battles, when the opponent is beaten by excellent rhyming.

Aino: [NORMAL] Se puhu pahaa mun kaverista, mut mä servasin sen. [SLOW] Se puhu pahaa mun kaverista, mut mä servasin sen.
John: "He (lit. "It") was talking bad stuff about my friend, but I quieted him down."

John: Okay, what's the last expression?
Aino: kuittailla
John: The base for the verb comes from the noun
Aino: kuitti,
John: which means "a receipt.” But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to make remarks to someone in a mocking or ridiculing way."
