Hello Mary Rhudy,
Thank you for your question! That is a challenging question hehe...😁 It is impossible to define the longest word in Finnish. The nature of the Finnish language is such that many different conductors, inflectional terminals, and appendices can be added to the words. The longest words in the Language Office's dictionary are currently the scanning electron microscope (pyyhkäisyelektronimikroskooppi) and the Finnish Food Safety Authority (Elintarviketurvallisuusvirasto).
Let us know if you have any questions.

Hei Zoumisaina,
Kiitos kommentistasi. 😄
"Tänään on tuulista. Minulla on päälläni pitkähihainen musta paita, farkut ja tuulitakki."
Niin, syksy tulee ja nyt on taas pukeuduttava lämpimästi. ( So, autumn is coming and now it is time to dress again warmly.)

Tänään on tuulista, minulla on päällään pitkähihaista musta paitaa, farkutta ja tuulitakkia.
Hi Donald!
Thank you for your comment!
Quite impressed how you have also tried use the correct grammatical cases!
I think you have heard these in speech and picked them from there, well done.
You wanted to say "I am walking and watching falling leaves"?
"Minä kävelen ja katson putoavia lehtiä."
In this case you need to use the partitive case for the words 'falling leaves', 'putoavat lehdet', as you are watching something. One reason is, because you can't define the exact amount of the leaves, and also because the action of 'watching' is still going on.
We have covered this topic, the partitive case, shortly for example in this lesson: https://www.finnishpod101.com/2013/08/19/absolute-beginner-7-let-me-have-some-delicious-finnish-blueberry-pie/
Keep up the good work Donald!
Best Wishes,

I think I made two mistakes. Should I have put "katson klo"? And should I also have put "putoavaja lehdejä"?
Minun kavelan jä katsoan putoavat lehdet.
