Cultural Insight
Becky: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Nico: When you introduce yourself, it's a good habit to shake hands and use hauska tutustua after saying your name. If you're concerned about politeness, even hei is polite enough in the Finnish business world. In fact, if you speak too formally, people will think you sound unnatural. In Finland, simple is best!

Outro

Becky: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Nico: Hei hei!

HelloCarol Phelps,

Thank you for your comment! One way to get nordic alphabets is the following:

Type the Å, Ä, Ö and ß using the 10 keypad and the Alt key - Windows

Hold down the Alt key and type a number. Once you release the Alt key, the letter will appear.

Example codes are:

Overring Umlaut Umlaut

Alt + 134 = å Alt + 132 = ä Alt + 148 = ö

Alt + 143 = Å Alt + 142 = Ä Alt + 153 = Ö

Hope this helps a bit.

Let us know if you have any question.

Aarni
