Yes — in the sentence “Haenko Kaisan koulusta?”, the verb haen (“I fetch/pick up”) is followed by the question ending -ko, which turns it into a yes/no question: “Haenko…?” → “Shall I fetch…?”

So:

Haen = I fetch / I pick up

-ko = question ending

Kaisan koulusta = from Kaisa’s school (Kaisan = genitive of Kaisa)

That’s why it translates as “Shall I pick up Kaisa from school?”

In the other sentence, “Hae sitten Emmi ja Jussi yläkerrasta,” the verb hae is the imperative form (“Go and get / fetch!”), so it’s giving a command rather than asking a question.

I have a quick question:

In the dialogue:

-- Hae sitten Emmi ja Jussi yläkerrasta.

-- tanslation: Then go and get Emmi and Jussi from upstairs.

In the example sentece of hakea

-- Haenko Kaisan koulusta?

-- translatoin: Shall I pick up Kaisa from school?

now the question: Why in the first sentence names are used normali, but in second sentence the name Kaisa is/seems to be in genetive form?

- "Hyvaa huomenta" tulisi olla "Hyvää huomenta" (Good morning). Muista käyttää ääkkösiä (special Finnish letters) oikeissa paikoissa!

- "En pida maisto" voisi olla "En pidä maidosta" (I don't like milk), jotta se olisi selkeämpää.

- "Pidan myos teesta" tulisi olla "Pidän myös teestä" (I also like tea).

Hi, I wonder why the object after "hakea" is sometimes seemingly Nominativ (Hae Emmi ja Jussi yläkerrasta.) and sometimes what seems to be Genitive (Haenko Kaisan koulusta?). Why is it in the first example "Emmi", but in the second "Kaisan" instead of "Kaisa"? Thank you for your help. Best wishes

"Kaataa" means pour in English, so "Kaadan oluen pois lasista" is correct. Another excample. "Kaadoin maitoa pöydälle." (I poured milk on the table).

"Kääntää" word may have multiple meanings but the most common are "turn" (käännä sivua, turn the page, for example) and to translate. (Käännä tämä teksti englannistas suomeksi, Translate this text from English to Finnish or käännä rattia, turn the wheel) Hope this helps a bit.

Yes, you can use to cases in one sentence. Jus add "ja" (and) word " or "tai" (or) word into a sentence, for example. There are some words having multiple meanings if you mean that. Example: "Voi" can mean butter and "can".
