Hei Elsie!

There is no actual future tense in the Finnish language, and usually the present tense is used also when talking about the future.

The context usually reveals are the people talking about present or future tense. E.g. words such as "huomenna", 'tomorrow', "ensi vuonna", 'next year', etc.

So the sentence "Vuokraan pienen auton." means both "I will rent a little car." and "I rent a small car.".

...Sorry we Finns are so confusing..! ? ?

In this lesson

Vuokraan pienen auton. = I will rent a little car.

what part of this indicates the future..."I will..."

as opposed to just meaning "I rent a small car."?

Thanks-
